Namaste London event, Indian Minority Foundation adopts resolution for UK-based diaspora

New Delhi: The Indian Minorities Foundation on Thursday adopted a London resolution calling on UK-based diaspora Indians to contribute to India’s progress, news agency PTI reported. The ‘Namaste London: Resurgence of New India’ event held at the Goodwill event at the House of Commons complex included the launch of ‘Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100’, which chronicles Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interactive session with India . The event was organized as part of ‘Charting Goodwill: India’s Global Odyssey’, marking the contribution of the Indian diaspora to their home countries, and the important role they play in shaping the global agenda.

It was conducted by Indian Minority Foundation Convener Satnam Singh Sandhu and Founder Professor Himani Sood.

“Prime Minister Modi has made this a central pillar of his global strategy, reaching out to the UK, prioritizing the diaspora, prioritizing partnerships with our own brothers and sisters who live far away from us in India – that’s what you all are about ( Diaspora) – and the priority of development for every single Indian; leaving no single person behind and reaching out to every community from Kohima to Kutch, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari,” PTI quoted Indian High Commissioner to Britain Vikram Doraiswami as saying.

According to the Indian Minorities Foundation, the Sadbhavna program aims to promote India’s cultural, literary and political ties across the world and also help in nation building.

Lauding PM Modi’s governance, Vijay Goel of the Indo-European Business Forum said that through the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, the country has made a mark in promoting development and corruption-free governance. “Paradigm shift” has been observed. ,
